چکیده

This paper will focus on the extraction of 3D urban building from ALS (Airborne Laser Scanner) data in built-up areas with the incorporation of GIS data . Sample terrain points are firstly captured by the integration of normalized DMS data and GIS road network data. Rough DEM is interpolated from the sample terrain points, which make it possible to extract potential building by subtracting from DSM data. Due to the vegetation areas may close to buildings and probably melted together in the DSM, low-rise building and high-rise building segments are discriminated based on local height information. A method to remove building noises by multi -criterions such as building size, building height and roof smooth, is proposed. The test is selected at a high -density building region in Tokyo with a 50cm × 50cm resolution ALS data. A comparing with orthographic aerial photograph is taken to evaluate the extracting accuracy. Results show a high accuracy can be achieved to extract building with the method proposed in this paper.

Reconstruction of Building Outlines in Dense Urban Areas Based on Lidar Data and Address Points

The paper presents a comprehensive method for automated extraction and delineation of building outlines in densely built-up areas. A novel approach to outline reconstruction is the use of geocoded building address points. They give information about building location thus highly reduce task complexity. Reconstruction process is executed on 3D point clouds acquired by airborne laser scanner. The...

Conditional Random Fields for Airborne Lidar Point Cloud Classification in Urban Area

Over the past decades, urban growth has been known as a worldwide phenomenon that includes widening process and expanding pattern. While the cities are changing rapidly, their quantitative analysis as well as decision making in urban planning can benefit from two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) digital models. The recent developments in imaging and non-imaging sensor technologies, s...

Extension of an Automatic Building Extraction Technique to Airborne Laser Scanner Data Containing Damaged Buildings

Airborne laser scanning systems generate 3-dimensional point clouds of high density and irregular spacing. These data consist of multiple returns coming from terrain, buildings, and vegetation. The major difficulty is the extraction of object categories, usually buildings. In the field of disaster management, the detection of building damages plays an important role. Therefore, the question ari...
